The 80-meter Multi-Purpose Supply Vessel (MPSV) "HALUL 54", built by Guangzhou Salvage Bureau's Xinhui Branch for Qatari shipping company MILAHA, was recently delivered in Jiangmen, Guangdong, and is about to set sail for the Middle East for offshore operations. THRUSTLEADER supplied azimuth thrusters and tunnel thrusters for the vessel.
"HALUL 54" is classed by ABS, with an overall length of 80 meters, a beam of 21 meters, and a depth of 7.2 meters. It features a 650-square-meter open working deck, a 30-ton offshore crane, and a professional moon pool for direct ROV deployment, accommodating up to 120 personnel on board.
THRUSTLEADER supplied the TLAT3000WM 2000kW azimuth thrusters and TLTT2000 1000kW tunnel thrusters for this vessel. The azimuth thrusters integrate propulsion and steering, with thrust direction adjustable through a full 360° for rapid response and precise maneuvering. Working together with the vessel's DP2 dynamic positioning system, the propulsion system automatically maintains position in waves and currents without anchoring—avoiding potential damage to subsea pipelines and seabed facilities while ensuring stable operations in various sea conditions.
In addition, the propulsion system supplied by THRUSTLEADER has obtained ABS cybersecurity certification, proving its capability to resist cyber threats and ensure the stable operation of the vessel's power and electrical systems, in compliance with the IACS unified cybersecurity requirements—building a solid information security defense line for the vessel's intelligent operations.
